Hi I’m Ruxpen and I absolutely hate leaving stuffies with their stuffing. It just needs to be removed ASAP!! I absolutely love all toys but wanna destroy them mostly. I am young and get so excited, I need some training on manners. I can sit and take treats well. I love all the peoples I meet.

Ace, the “trifecta”!
Let me explain…a “trifecta” is a dog who is good with other dogs, cats & kids! So pretty much perfect! This guy keeps his kennel spotless, he is friendly with everyone he meets, and Ace has a pretty chill personality. He’s the perfect age at 5 years old…past the puppy stage of eating your brand new shoes, but still young enough to enjoy all of life’s activities! Like I said, pretty much perfect!

When you’ve lived with your family for 5 years & they drop you off at an over crowded shelter, one can get very depressed. And that’s exactly what’s happened to Ace. He is URGENT due to depression and not wanting to eat.

Young pup with a handsomely huge head and a million dollar 💵 smile! He is very friendly and loves his walks! He is eager to learn new tricks and is doing well working on his manners. He loves to play with toys and chase them-a fun younster looking for someone who will love and play with him!
Previous owner reported him to be house-trained and crate-trained.
Dogs-with proper time to get out his pent-up kennel energy, Draco’s signature has become the alligator crawl! He slowly crawls on his belly towards dogs and sometimes even licks their face! Slow introductions are always a good idea.
Cats-ignored
Kids-previous owner reported he had been around kids of all ages without any issues.
Draco is listed as incredibly urgent due to pent-up energy causing anxiousness. When initially listed as urgent, he was in a chaotic kennel location. Since then, the kennel staff was able to move him and he has improved-doing better! But, he still needs out!

Mr Boy Bongo is a very sweet cuddler/lap dog who is learning how to dog amongst the chaos in the shelter. He is most comfortable inside of his crate inside of the kennel (see photo) and it has taken him some time to purposefully move in and out of there. He is a nervous fella in the shelter environment and we would love for him to come into his own little personality in a committed, loving, patient home. He seems eager to please once he knows you are safe and has gentle manners with treats. He is walking much better on his leash🐾
Dogs-met one intact female and was a little nervous initially, but was soliciting play. Met another intact male and was friendly and calm. He may benefit from having another doggo to show him the ropes of life. Slow introductions are always required.
Cats-curious/ignored
Bongo is urgent because his life is full of nervous energy and fear in the shelter. He paces his kennel so much that his paw is raw and painful (currently being treated by the shelter). Trazadone was started to help him with his anxiety and some improvements have been observed.

Dionysus is a 10-year-old mix with the quiet, wild beauty of a creature carved from myth—like he wandered straight from an ancient forest with eyes that have seen too much. Once, there may have been joy in those eyes. Now, there’s only waiting.
He has been in the shelter for too long. Too many nights behind bars. Too many mornings with no one coming for him. He’s not barking for attention anymore. He just... waits. Quietly.

Cooper’s entire life has been turned upside down. He arrived Friday due to severe jealousy of the new baby in the home. It was just him & the cats for 6 years, and a new baby was too much for him to handle.
Dogs-Per his owner, Cooper has been around dogs over the years & has done well with them.

Kids-Per his owner, even though he was extremely jealous of the new baby, Cooper is great with kids, even toddlers!

Cooper has not been able to settle into the shelter. Although he will curl up in his crate after time outside, he whines & cries even while outside with volunteers (see video). Cooper needs out of the shelter sooner than later.

This beautiful brindle girl named Peach once belonged to someone. We know it in our hearts — she arrived at our shelter back in early February on a cold, frosty morning with painted toenails, a quiet soul, and a look that said she didn’t understand where her people had gone.
We were certain someone would come for her. But now, nearly four months later, Peach is still waiting… and losing a bit of hope with each passing day.
Shelter life is hard on her. What began as timid uncertainty has slowly turned into frustration and stress inside the noisy kennels. She needs — and deserves — to be back in a loving home where she can feel safe, valued, and adored once more.

Rainbow’s life has been anything but a rainbow. She wound up being a mom at 3 years old, delivered & nursed her puppies & watched them get adopted one by one while she waited for her turn. And her turn never came. So she waited some more, trying to be big & brave for the world, but deep inside she’s always been a little unsure of new things. When she found herself back at the shelter, it quickly became overwhelming for her.
We’re hoping things turn around for Rainbow. She is a great walking buddy, knows basic commands, and food is the way to her heart! Give her a puzzle feeder & she’s a happy camper…she gets to work her brain AND her belly!!! Based on Rainbow’s personality, we think she’d be happiest in a calm home being a couch snuggler!
