HW-

$400 in pledges to approved rescue

Happy, affectionate, wiggly, eager to please, very smart and treat motivated. Knows sit, down, shake, come. Gentle with treats. Walks nicely on leash.

Dogs-met a young rambunctious female and was happy, playful

Cats-curious

Pent-up young-dog-energy leading to frustration and jumping up when  getting him out of his kennel. Recovering from an upper respiratory infection and his activity was restricted from 3/21-3/31/2025–adding to his kennel frustration.

Peach

Peach is currently at Animal Protection League in  Andersonville Indiana

This beautiful brindle girl named Peach once belonged to someone. We know it in our hearts — she arrived at our shelter back in early February on a cold, frosty morning with painted toenails, a quiet soul, and a look that said she didn’t understand where her people had gone.

We were certain someone would come for her. But now, nearly four months later, Peach is still waiting… and losing a bit of hope with each passing day.

Shelter life is hard on her. What began as timid uncertainty has slowly turned into frustration and stress inside the noisy kennels. She needs — and deserves — to be back in a loving home where she can feel safe, valued, and adored once more.

Here’s what we know about this sweet soul:

💔 A true heartbreaker among our staff and volunteers

🐾 Brindle beauty with a quiet elegance — and painted toenails to prove she was once loved

🛋️ A perfect balance of playful and chill — likely to become your ultimate couch companion

🐕 Loves her walks, though she gets excited and needs a little help with leash manners

🎓 Knows how to sit and takes treats with gentle care

🐶 Picky with her dog friends, so a proper intro is a must

🐱 No cats, please

👶 Children: unknown, but likely best in a calmer home setting

Peach is ready to leave the shelter behind and start the next chapter of her life. Will you be the one to remind her what it feels like to be home again?

📍 Apply to meet Peach today — and show her that someone still will come.

HW-

*surrendered with 5 cats and another dog-owner could no longer care for him*

Beau is a Boerboel (mix?) and needs an experienced person in XL strong breeds like his.

Previous owner reported he lived with kids ages 9 and 16, five cats, and a female dog (Phoenix who is also at APL) with no issues. He is house and crated trained, lived indoors and outdoors in a fenced area.

Beau has not transitioned to shelter life well. He is becoming increasingly anxious and hard to handle due to his size and manners. He is rapidly declining.
